When I first learned about this project, I immediately went towards the idea of creating a zine that surrounds my time as a worker at an Amazon facility. I thought this would be a unique and interesting subject matter to make a narrative or experience around. Specifically, I wanted to uses attire and commentary on the Amazon warehouse worker experience, what I personally experienced, and to use humor to address a fairly depressing subject. This includes personal encounters and what I heard other workers having to deal with. I wanted to drive forward the idea how the Amazon company utilizes their workers, specifically in a contradictory way, where they overwork the people at their warehouses while also attempting to provide ways to show their worth. What I mean is that during my time at the Thornton facility, I was told how worthy and integral I was to the work force, but then I would have to stay for longer hours, not being appreciated, and had no free time because of this job.
